Blacklisting/Blocking Traffic
Zeropark allows you to block traffic coming to your campaigns by creating a blacklist on a campaign and an account level.
- You can block traffic on the campaign level based on the criteria listed below.
- Sources
- Targets
- Keywords
- Operating Systems
- Browsers
- Regions and Cities
- You can block traffic on account level based on the following criteria:Once you provide the correct values, traffic matching the criteria from the blacklist will not go into your campaigns.
- IP address
- ISPs
- Targets
How to block traffic from selected sources or targets?
Remember you can also blacklist sources or targets for specific campaigns in Zeropark.
For example, if you’d like to run a RON campaign but exclude a selection of sources, all you need to do is pause them.
- Go to the Campaign details view.
- Select sources/targets you’d like to pause by ticking checkboxes on the left or paste the list of unwanted sources/targets into the Search toolbox.
- Next, click on the Bulk actions button and select the Pause option.
How to block traffic from selected keywords?
Remember you can also blacklist keywords for your campaigns in Zeropark. There are two ways to do this — by pausing selected keywords or by adding negative keywords.
To pause selected keywords:
- Go to the Campaign details view.
- Select keywords you’d like to pause by ticking checkboxes on the left or pasting the list of unwanted keywords into the Search toolbox.
- Next, click on the Bulk actions button and select the Pause keywords option.
To add negative keywords:
- Open a keyword wizard tool. You can do that in two ways:
- In the Campaign details view, click on the Add keywords tab and choose the Select from the list option.
- Start a new campaign or edit an existing one, go to the Campaign Type section, choose Keyword (if that’s a new campaign being created) and click on the Add keywords.
- In the keyword wizard tool, click on the 0/100 negative keywords added option in the bottom right corner. A keyword blocking window will appear.
How to block traffic from selected Operating Systems or Browsers?
You can block traffic from unwanted Operating Systems or Browsers both during the campaign creation process as well as at a later time by editing an already existing campaign.
To do that please complete the following steps:
- Start a new campaign or edit an existing campaign in Zeropark.
- Fill in all necessary fields if needed.
- Scroll down to the Targeting section
- Select All operating systems or All browsers option (depending on what kind of traffic you’d like to block)
- Next, untick the unwanted options and save your settings.
How to block traffic from selected Regions or Cities?
You can block traffic from unwanted Regions and Cities both during the campaign creation process as well as at a later time by editing an already existing campaign, or pausing certain items in the Campaign details view.
To do that during the campaign creation process or later by editing an already existing campaign please complete the following steps:
- Start a new campaign or edit an existing campaign in Zeropark.
- Fill in all necessary fields if needed.
- Scroll down to the Targeting section
- If not yet enabled, turn the Regions/Cities targeting option ON by sliding the toggle
- Next, click on No regions or No cities to open a given wizard.
- Choose the Block traffic from regions/cites below option.
- Provide a name or names of chosen regions/regions.
Once you choose to receive traffic from a given region, you will only be able to block traffic from cities in the selected region. If you exclude a given region, you won’t be able to receive traffic from cities in that region.
To pause traffic coming from certain regions or cities in the Campaign details view, please complete the following steps:
- Go to the Campaign details view.
- Select regions/cities you’d like to pause traffic from by ticking checkboxes on the left or pasting the list of unwanted regions/cities into the Search toolbox.
- Next, click on the Bulk actions button and select the Pause option.
How to block traffic from IP, ISPs and Targets?
In order to create a blacklist on an account level, complete the following steps:
- In the Zeropark dashboard, go to the My Account tab.
- Go to the Blocked list view.
- Provide correct values of IPs, ISP and/or Targets that you want to block. Upon saving, these values will be verified and incorrect values will not be added to the blacklist.
- Click the Save button.
- To resume values just delete them from given sections and Save your choice.
