Creating a new Commerce Media Campaign


Commerce Media is a name for Zeropark supply. These are brand-safe and non-intrusive ads designed specifically to instantly match brands with customers based on high-quality traffic. 

Commerce Media Ads work on the CPC cost model.

Commerce Media campaigns can be launched already from the Media Planner level. It will automatically prefill your chosen ad format, brand, country, and bid.

How do Zeropark Commerce Media Ads work?

There are multiple ways in which customers can interact with these ads, and we have segmented our available supply into Placement Categories available for advertisers' choice when creating the campaign. The categories have been created based on the publisher media and placement type, so that Zeropark Commerce Media advertisers can tailor their campaigns toa maximum extent.

BEFORE YOU START:Before starting a new campaign, make sure you have the following things prepared:Your destination URL: The URL of the page you wish to send the traffic to.Campaign targeting strategy: It is one of the best practices to be sure beforehand what kind of audience you are trying to reach and how you are planning to reach them.Bidding strategy: You should know roughly how much you would be willing to pay for each visitor that will be delivered to your website. Tracking solution: Tracking is the crucial element of any successful campaign, therefore it is better to have your tracking software set up before you start buying traffic.Campaign Approval: All search marketplace campaigns must comply with the requirements specified here.

The campaign creation form is divided into 7 sections, which will be described in detail below:

Choosing the ad format

To begin setting up your search campaign, first log into your Zeropark account, and then click the New campaign button which will trigger a new campaign creation form to open.

I. General

  1. Select the desired Ad format. In our case, that'd be Commerce Media.
  2. Provide a name in the Campaign name text field.
  3. Select the Status after approval. This defines if your campaign will run immediately after approval or will wait for your action.
  4. Select the Number of copies (up to 99) if you wish to use this campaign as a template one.

You can individually label every campaign in the Zeropark dashboard for better visibility and management. Labels are customizable and up to your preference. It is possible for you to manually set the order of your custom campaign labels for easier prioritization and campaign management.

II. Offer

  1. Select the brand you want to advertise from the Brand drop-down menu and view a predefined icon.
  2. You can also add custom brands by typing in the Custom option. In that case, you will have to provide additional information such as:
    • Brand name
    • Brand domain
    • Brand icon
  3. Next, provide a destination URL in the Destination URL text field. Include all necessary tracking tokens.

    Branded Search campaigns must lead users engaging with the Zeropark Search Marketplace ads to the advertised brand’s homepage.

    To track your campaigns you can also use {msn_traffic} and {coupon_traffic} tokens

  4. Set the Conversion payout options to Auto or Manual.

    If your affiliate network doesn't pass information about the payout, you can input it manually.

III. Targeting

  1. Select a country you want to target. You can type your preferred geos in the box or choose from the dropdown list. See that you can also choose from “Top geos” selection proposed by Zeropark.

  2. (Optional) Enable the Regions / Cities targeting toggle to include or exclude certain regions or cities.
    • Click on No regions, provide a name or names of regions, and decide if you want to include or exclude them. Note that once you do so, you will only have the option to block traffic from selected cities.

      You can also change the Regions / Cities targeting option from the dashboard, while your campaign is running.

  3. (Optional) Set up Device filters and OS and Browser targeting options.
    • For Mobile devices, you can target even more gradually down to OS, Browser, and Carrier options. For Desktop devices, you can choose between OS and Browser targeting.
    • For Desktop devices, you can choose between OS and Browser targeting.

IV. Placement Category

Zeropark introduced a set of placement categories for you to freely choose from when creating campaigns. They have been designed to match the needs of various advertisers, and are a great tool for you to choose only the best-matching publisher placements, based on the type of media and placements offered. As Zeropark offers full traffic transparency, our advertisers can access 10 categories:

V. Timing

  1. (Optional) Set up frequency filters by turning the toggle on or off and selecting the frequency value from the drop-down menu.
  2. (Optional) Set up day-parting options that define the schedule of your campaign's run.

    Our research shows that sticking to the default value ensures the best combination of volume and profitability.

VI. Campaign Type

  • Select your desired campaign type:
    • RON campaigns. Read the Types of Inventory Available section to learn more.
    • Target campaigns. Read the Adding Targets section to learn more.

      Please note that changing the campaign type settings may influence the previously set targeting options.

    • Source campaigns. Recently, Zeropark has enabled the creation of campaigns for Commerce Media based on carefully selected sources. This way, our Demand partners are able to test new Sources, boosting the revenues and creating new optimization opportunities for Commerce Media and Deeplink campaigns.

      For maximum efficiency with Source Commerce Media campaigns, we advise that you stay in close contact with your Account Manager. They will provide you with valuable suggestions on bids and sources.

VII. Budget & bidding

  1. Provide your bid value in the Bid text field.
  2. Set your Campaign’s total and Daily budget options.
  3. You can now set your source daily budget limit to get more control over how much you’ll spend per single source. This should be specifically useful during the testing and optimization phases.If you do not need to have a per-source daily capping enabled, you can leave it as Unlimited.

Make sure to check out the Bid Suggestions tooltip that will display whenever you set up a new Zeropark campaign. It represents a value of bid that (due to historical analysis) should help you optimize your budgets better and increase the initial win rate.

VIII. Tracking

  1. Copy the postback URL to the clipboard, so you will be able to provide it to your tracker or affiliate network.
  2. Click the Save and continue button.
  3. Once saved, your campaign will be visible as a Keyword campaign.

SETTING UP COMMERCE MEDIA CAMPAIGNS WITH THE ‘BULK UPLOADS’ FEATURE:

  1. In the standard Zeropark campaign upload a CSV file and fill in all the necessary information about your campaign. You can now use the option to set up Source targeting in your campaign as well.
  2. Click the ‘Bulk upload’ button in the top menu of the Dashboard (to see it, you’ll need to have this option enabled for your account).
  3. Drag or browse the saved CSV report with all the needed campaign targeting.
  4. Click the ‘Next’ button.
  5. The new campaign targeting options should be implemented once your file has been checked. The new campaigns will reflect your chosen targeting.
